Carrick Counselling Care or Alchemie Healing with Bernie Bailey
Bernie is an experienced counsellor/psychotherapist living and working in the South West of Scotland. She is a member of the BACP and follows their ethical guidelines. Bernie also offers Reiki & Sekhem healing. Having trained to masters level in Reiki, she is working towards masters level in Sekhem with Vicki Rebecca.
In addition to her counselling and therapy qualifications, she has gained qualifications in Person Centred Art Therapy skills and Use of the Creative Arts for Learning and Development. Recently, she has also been working with sound, having trained with Neil Wakeling and now incorporates sound-work into some of her group and healing work.
Bernie’s former career was as a classical singer & musician as well as an arts workshop leader.
Outdoor Activities and International Expeditions
An outdoor activities company based in Royal Deeside, directed by Alan Melrose, Alan has led Leadership Development expeditions for young people to Mongolia, Himalayas, Andes, Zambia, Morocco and Mt Kilimanjaro. He is a qualified Mountain Leader, HSE First Aider, Nordic Walking Instructor and Trail Cycling Leader. These skills, as well as his professional qualifications in Education, Community Development and Countryside Management, and his extensive local knowledge, ensure he can – and does – deliver a quality product.

Neil Wakeling has been playing with music and sound since his earliest memories and has a profound understanding of the science and energy of sound. This unique combination can be heard distinctly in his music – Neil has composed a number of albums including soundtracks for television. Neil trained in Sound Healing with Jonathan Goldman, internationally acclaimed Sound Master. He works as a vibrational healer both one-to-one and in teaching Healing Sound workshops.
